Focus Group Facilitation

  • Community Health Center, Inc 675 Main Street Middletown, CT 06457 United States (map)

Focus groups are a great way to hear directly from people about their experiences, ideas, and needs, but they take some planning and practice to run well. In this workshop, we’ll talk through what a focus group is, when it’s useful, and some of the common challenges that come up in group conversations.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Define what a focus group is

  • Create a focus group protocol

  • Develop open-ended questions that help you get the data you need for your project

  • Gain facilitation skills and strategies for notetaking
