211 Service-Seeking Calls

We use data from the 211 system, which is managed by United Way, as near-real-time data to monitor indicators of ACEs. This data also helps us to see geographically specific information and trends of selected ACE indicators. The 211 data presented here reflect only the number of calls made about minors and adults with children (0-17 years old) who are in need of services and do not include online searches. The 211 service-seeking data is updated every three months.

See 211 Category Descriptions to understand how we categorized and defined ACE indicators using 211 data.

Notes about the data used for this analysis:

  • Data includes (1) calls made for anyone under 18 and (2) calls made for anyone over 18 with children.

  • Some calls made for a person under 18 did not have any children indicated, so we coded those entries as 1 child.

  • Any calls that indicated “10 or more” children were coded as 10 children.
