Data Resources

The products developed by CPES and its prevention partners include presentations, fact sheets, maps, charts, and other graphic representations of data, as well as guidance and resource documents. Products are provided with the goal of making data accessible to all users, regardless of their data skills or knowledge.

CT Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) Prescription Monitoring Program Data Story

Housed on CT’s Open Data Portal, the DCP Prescription Monitoring Program Data Story includes a dispensation overview visualization, and visualized prescription data by drug categories (e.g., opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines), as well as gabapentin and naloxone.

Consolidated Guide to CT Prescription Monitoring and Reporting System (CPMRS) Resources

Resource developed through the Statewide Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup (SEOW) CPMRS Workgroup that compiles information on and links to CPMRS data resources.  The resource includes information on public access to CPRS data, data elements and reporting requirements, and data request procedures.

Connecticut’s version of the CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) that captures data on health behaviors as well as school and social environments among Connecticut high school students in grades 9 to 12.

CT Department of Public Health (DPH) Injury Prevention Surveillance System

Surveillance system managed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) Office of Injury and Violence Prevention that tracks injury trends to inform efforts to prevent intentional and unintentional injuries across Connecticut.

National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH)

An annual, nationally representative survey conducted across US states, which also contains Connecticut state-level data on substance use, mental health, and treatment needs and utilization.
