Data Resources

The products developed by CPES and its prevention partners include presentations, fact sheets, maps, charts, and other graphic representations of data, as well as guidance and resource documents. CT Department of Public Health (DPH) 2025 Cannabis Health Statistics Report

Annual report to the Public Health Committee of the CT General Assembly, developed by the CT Department of Public Health (DPH), which provides cannabis data and statistics on adverse health events, demographic risk factors, and trends related to cannabis consumption in Connecticut, pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 21a-422e (CGS Sec. 21a-422e).

DrugFreeCT website substance information page on cannabis, including an overview and information on: short-term, brain and body effects; and special topic tiles on national and CT prevalence and trends, medical cannabis, treatment, and frequently asked questions (FAQs).

Be in The Know CT

BeInTheKnowCT website focused on cannabis. Website provides information on: cannabis laws; storage; and health risks; as well as specialized information for adults, youth, parents, and on cannabis potency, problem use, and pregnancy.  Website also offers a downloadable toolkit for use with community partners.

Connecticut School Health Survey (CSHS) 

Connecticut’s version of the CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) that captures data on health behaviors as well as school and social environments among Connecticut high school students in grades 9 to 12.

CT Community Readiness Survey (CRS)

A biannual key informant survey assessing community capacity and readiness to implement substance use prevention and mental health promotion, as well as issues of community concern and attitudes/beliefs about substance use, mental health, suicide, and problem gambling. Last implemented in 2022 by DMHAS, UConn Health, the CT Clearinghouse, and the Regional Behavioral Health Action Organizations (RBHAOs), the CRS garnered responses across all CT communities.

DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey (DCWS)

A statewide community-focused survey of CT residents, conducted by DataHaven, that collects data on various indicators, such as health behaviors, quality of life indicators, and indicators related to social determinants of health. Results are analyzed by demographic groups as well as community types, using the Five Connecticuts typology.

National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) 

An annual, nationally representative survey conducted across US states, which also contains Connecticut state-level data on substance use, mental health, and treatment needs and utilization.
